Through its activities, the Institute aims at fulfilling a twofold mission: first, to promote legal research to the benefit of those having an academic interest in the study of law, and second to proliferate knowledge of law to those engaged in everyday legal practice.

This mission is specifically carried out through the performance of three fundamental objectives:

– the research of international and foreign laws;

– the strengthening of comparative legal research; and

– the supply of legal information.
